So you’re already using Microsoft Dynamics GP? Well listen up! Microsoft has just released Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013 R2! With tons of new features and increased usability, MDGP 2013 R2 and the increased frequency of the update cycle allows Microsoft to provide value to customers on a much more regular basis. But what’s new with the updated version?
There are four main areas of improvement:
The main goal of this improvement is to integrate the requisition process into GP and to remove the dependency for requisitions via SharePoint and the Business Portal (BP).
The announcement of a procurement app that will be available in the Windows Store, is the biggest news in this section. Designed for employees, including Non-GP users, the app allows users to enter self-service requests.
Again removing the dependency of Sharepoint, Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013 R2 will feature a new native workflow engine, eventually being able to be utilized for notifications and collaboration.
The first step in simplifying logins across the board begins with a single sign on option for the GP web client.
Microsoft Dynamics GP has some big plans for the future, as seen in the product road map above.
Stay tuned, as this is only the beginning of a mini blog series that will go in-depth into the benefits and increased effectiveness of specific features. The next installment will be coming soon!
